Obama Wired - Obama CTO

Lots of interesting uses of technology in the new administration. One I'm watching is the Obama - Chief Technology Officer website which uses technology from UserVoice.

UserVoice lets you capture feedback and ideas from your customers. They can vote and/or share their ideas.

Help with color selection and palette creation

Need some fresh ideas for color selection and palette creation in your training project? Check out myPANTONE. An interactive color workspace, the software aids in locating and identifying information relevant to color and color combinations and provides ways to create, use and manage color palettes. myPANTONE palettes works in conjunction with the myPANTONE community by enabling the upload and download of favorite colors and palettes.

I usually leave this to the graphic artists - but have to admit that the site sucked me in for a while and inspired me to create color combinations on my own. You'll get the hex and RGB codes so you can use the exact color you want in your project.

Social Learning: Part 2

http://www.ehow.com/video_112746_check-tire-pressure.html

This video led me to an interesting website that has great links on how to help your family and friends reduce your environmental impact.

The learning idea I took away from this site is a good example of to incorporate good resources from other websites into your training. Of course, you'll need to check the links on a regular basis - the Internet is an ever changing tool - but you can take advantage of really great information at a low cost.

Social Learning: share and learn information

Came across an interesting site that allows people to share and learn information -eHOW.

"Every month, over 26 million people visit our site. We have more than 300,000 articles that are professionally written with clear and concise directions on how to do things. We also have a rapidly growing library of articles created by eHow's members.

We love sharing our knowledge with the world and have created a platform for you to share your knowledge with others. We invite you to become an eHow member, where you'll be able to comment on articles and interact with other members through a robust set of social networking tools. You can even write your own How To articles with our easy-to-use publishing tools that let you express your knowledge through text, images, and video."
